Example
Revenue by region as a bar chart
- Chart Type=Bar
- X-Axis / Labels=Region
- Y-Axis / Values=Amount
- Aggregation=Sum
| Region | Amount |
|---|---|
| North | 120 |
| South | 80 |
| North | 40 |
| Region | Amount |
|---|---|
| North | 160 |
| South | 80 |
With an aggregation other than None the rows are grouped by the X-axis value before the chart is drawn.
Worth knowing
- Leave Aggregation on None when the data is already one row per label, such as the output of Group By.
- Setting a Second Series groups the rows by the X-axis value as well, even when Aggregation is None.
- Scatter and Bubble read both axes as numbers, and Bubble uses the Size Column for the point size.
- Select the node and open the preview panel to see the chart.
