PDF Decrypt
Removes the password from protected PDFs — RC4 and AES, 40 to 256-bit — given the user or the owner password, so other PDF nodes can read them.
When to use it
Use it first in a flow that receives passworded PDFs from a vendor or a bank.

Settings
| Setting | Type | Required | Default or hint |
|---|---|---|---|
| PDF path column | select | — | Default: the PDF from the node before |
| Password | password | — | Blank for PDFs with only an owner password |
Example
Open a passworded vendor PDF
- Password=$VendorPdfPassword
| Was Protected | PDF Output Path |
|---|---|
| Yes | …/statement_unlocked.pdf |
Worth knowing
- Read passworded files with Input Folder (paths only): PDF File Input cannot open them until they are decrypted.
- A wrong password stops the node with “That PDF is password-protected and the password was wrong or missing.”
- Leave the password blank for PDFs that open without one but forbid printing or copying.
