Column
Add Column
Inserts new columns at chosen positions, each holding fixed text, a value worked out per row, or nothing.
When to use it
Use it when an output needs columns the source does not have: a blank field someone will fill in later, a constant such as a batch name, or a value built from other columns.

| Setting | Type | Required | Default or hint |
|---|---|---|---|
| Add Rules (JSON) | textarea | — | [{"columnName":"new_col","betweenCol1":"after_this_col","value":"{Price} * 2"}] |
Example
Add a status and a line total
- Columns to Add=Status after Order = Pending; Line Total after Price = {Qty} * {Price}
| Order | Qty | Price |
|---|---|---|
| SO-1 | 4 | 2.5 |
| SO-2 | 10 | 0.4 |
| Order | Status | Qty | Price | Line Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| SO-1 | Pending | 4 | 2.5 | 10 |
| SO-2 | Pending | 10 | 0.4 | 4 |
Each new column lands straight after the column named in its rule.
Worth knowing
- Type plain text for a constant, or a formula for a per-row value: { picks a column, $ picks a variable, and functions such as IF and CONCAT work as in Calculated Column.
- A formula can use a column added by an earlier rule of the same node.
- Leave the value empty for a blank column, and Insert after empty to add the column at the end.
- A rule is skipped when its column name already exists, so re-running is safe.
