| Text |

| 1,299.99 3 -4.5 |
Worth knowing
- Does it keep the currency sign? No. Only the number itself is extracted, which makes it easier to use in calculations.
- How are commas handled? A comma followed directly by digits is treated as a thousands separator, so “1,299” stays together. A list written as “1, 2, 3” gives three separate numbers.
- How do I remove numbers instead? Use Remove Numbers.
- Works on any text column, not only Text Input's: pick it under Text column. Tick Generate New Column to keep the original next to the result.
