Worth knowing
- Is Base64 encryption? No. Base64 only changes how data is written. Anyone can decode it, so never use it to protect secrets.
- Why does my output end with = signs? Padding characters make the output length a multiple of four. URL-safe mode removes them.
- Can I encode files or images? This tool encodes text only. Files and images need a dedicated file-to-Base64 converter.
- Works on any text column, not only Text Input's: pick it under Text column. Tick Generate New Column to keep the original next to the result.
