|---|---|---|---|
| Column to Split | select | Yes | — |
| Delimiter | text | — | , |
Example
Separate last name from first name
- Column to Split=Customer
- Delimiter=,
| Order | Customer | Amount |
|---|---|---|
| A-1 | Osborn, Mia | 120 |
| A-2 | Park, Leo | 80 |
| Order | Amount | Customer_1 | Customer_2 |
|---|---|---|---|
| A-1 | 120 | Osborn | Mia |
| A-2 | 80 | Park | Leo |
The original column is dropped and the parts are appended at the end of the row.
Worth knowing
- Parts are appended at the end of the row, not in the position the original column held.
- The number of parts follows the data, so a row with more delimiters gains Customer_3 and beyond.
- Column pickers downstream assume two parts until you preview the node, so run a preview before wiring later nodes.
- The delimiter is literal text, including any space you type.
