Text
Index / Find
Finds where a piece of text first appears (its position, 0 when absent), or pulls out the text between two markers such as ( and ).
When to use it
Use it to extract a code in brackets, the part of an email after @, or to flag rows that contain a word — when a full regular expression is more than you need.

Worth knowing
- Positions count from 1, like Excel's FIND; 0 means not found, so Filter Rows on > 0 keeps the rows that contain it.
- Leave Before blank to take everything after the After marker.
- Ignore case makes "abc" find "ABC".
