Example
Append daily orders to the orders table
- Target Table=orders
- Write Mode=Append rows
| order_id | customer | total |
|---|---|---|
| 5001 | Acme Ltd | 240 |
| 5002 | Borne SA | 95 |
| order_id | customer | total |
|---|---|---|
| 4999 | Corva Oy | 130 |
| 5001 | Acme Ltd | 240 |
| 5002 | Borne SA | 95 |
Append leaves the rows already in the table untouched and adds the new ones below them.
Worth knowing
- Rows are sent as parameterised inserts in batches inside one transaction, so values with quotes or newlines are safe.
- Replace deletes every row in the table first, in the same transaction, so keep a backup before using it on a shared table.
- A preview never writes; run the pipeline to make the write happen.
- The rows continue downstream unchanged, so an export node can be chained after this one.
