JDBC Input

Reads a whole table or view from any database that has a JDBC driver — Informix, SAP HANA, Sybase ASE, H2, Firebird and more.

When to use it

Use it for a database FlowDoo has no dedicated node for, when its vendor ships a JDBC driver.

Example

Stock from an Informix ERP

  • Connection=jdbc:informix-sqli://ifx.example.com:9088/stores
  • Table=informix.stock
The table's rows
stock_numdescriptionunit_price
1baseball gloves250
2baseball126

Worth knowing

  • The connection is the JDBC URL and the driver class (e.g. com.sap.db.jdbc.Driver), with a user and password if the database asks for them.
  • The driver's .jar must be in the server's JDBC folder (FLOWDOO_JDBC_DIR); tables come from the driver's own metadata.
  • Runs through the server's Python bridge (JPype with the server's Java).
