Files & Folders
File Rename
Renames each file in its own folder from a pattern: {name} is the old name without its extension, {ext} the extension, {date} today, {time} the time, and {Column} a value from the row.
When to use it
Use it to date-stamp files after processing, or to give exports the names another system expects.

Worth knowing
- Renaming works on the FlowDoo server and in My files.
- If a new name already exists, or two files would get the same name, nothing is renamed and the node says which.
- Nothing changes until you tick “Yes, really write to the file system”. A preview shows the first rename it would make.
