Files & Folders
File Path Builder
Builds a file path per row from a template: {Column} takes the row's value, {date} today's date, {time} the time; characters a file name cannot hold become _.
When to use it
Use it before File Copy, Zip Create or an export loop, when each row's file should land in its own folder or under its own name.

Settings
| Setting | Type | Required | Default or hint |
|---|---|---|---|
| Path template | text | Yes | exports/{Region}/{Customer}_{date}.csv |
| Output column | text | — | File Path |
Example
A folder per region
- Path template=exports/{Region}/{Customer}.csv
| Customer | Region |
|---|---|
| Harbour Foods | West |
| Cole & Sons | East |
| Customer | Region | File Path |
|---|---|---|
| Harbour Foods | West | exports/West/Harbour Foods.csv |
| Cole & Sons | East | exports/East/Cole & Sons.csv |
Worth knowing
- Column names in braces match ignoring case. An unknown name becomes blank, so check the spelling if a part goes missing.
- Slashes in the template separate folders; slashes inside a value are kept as folder separators too.
- $Variables are filled in before the template, so $OutputRoot/{Region} works.
