Transformations
Unpivot / Transpose
Turns columns into rows: each picked column becomes its own row, holding the column's name and its value beside the columns you did not pick.
When to use it
Reach for it when a report has one column per period, product or measure (Q1, Q2, Q3…) and you need one row per value — for charts, Group By, a database table or a pivot the other way.

Worth knowing
- The output has rows × picked columns rows; above the server's row limit the node stops with a message before building anything.
- Columns you did not pick come first, then the name and value columns, so downstream pickers recompute automatically.
- Tick Skip empty values to leave out blank cells instead of making a row for each.
- To go the other way — rows into columns — use Pivot Table.
