Date
Date Difference
Works out how many days, weeks, months, years, hours, minutes or seconds lie between two dates, as a new column.
When to use it
Use it for ages, tenure, time to ship, days overdue — anything measured between two dates, or between a date and now when the To column is left empty.

Worth knowing
- The result is To minus From, so it is negative when To is earlier — handy for spotting bad data.
- Counts completed units, like Excel's DATEDIF: 31 January to 28 February is 0 months. Days count calendar days, so the time of day does not matter.
- Leave To column empty to measure up to now, e.g. tenure in days.
